European Commission published the 2014 Progress Report for Turkey, covering the period from October 2013 to September 2014. The report is based on information gathered and analysed by the Commission. Many sources have been used, including contributions from the government of Turkey, the EU Member States, European Parliament reports, and information from various international and non-governmental organisations. The report briefly describes the relations between Turkey and the European Union; analyses the situation in Turkey in terms of the political and economic criteria for membership; and reviews Turkey's capacity to take on the obligations of membership. TUSEV compiled together relevant information from the 2014 Turkey Progress Report that concerns civil society in Turkey. More information is available here.
